Delta Force Improv, Singapore’s premier long form improv and sketch comedy specialists, presents its inaugural INTRASQUAD IMPROV DECATHLON!

In the best tradition of Theatresports, developed by Keith Johnstone in 1977, two teams (in this case, the competing teams both come from the ranks of Delta Force Improv) go head to head, in what’s called a ‘scrimmage’ in American baseball and football. Johnstone thought friendly competition would add drama and spice (which it most certainly does) to improvised theatre, and he was so right!

The audience will randomly select 10 games for the competition. The audience, by ballot, will also vote for the winner!

Delta Force will draw upon its own ranks for this competition, making this the first intrasquad improv competition held in Singapore and very likely the first of its kind EVER, providing the audience with an evening of inspired improvisation, once again proving that the mouth is quicker than the eye!

At the end of the competition, Delta Force will perform a special HAROLD, in which a single audience suggestion will provide the inspiration for what will amount to a three-act play! HAROLD came to fruition in the Golden Age of Chicago Improv in the 1980’s under the stewardship of Del Close and Charna Halpern. It’s the best long-form improv gets!

SPECIAL ADDED BONUS: A very special improvised tribute to the Beach Boys Brian Wilson, on this, his 76th birthday.

Delta Force Improv has earned its place in the burgeoning comedy scene in Singapore, and is known (and notorious) for their daring, innovation, and sheer artistry and creativity, always raising the bar in improvised comedy performance, while still honoring the sacred cows of improvised theatre.

***PPTK Duo is a change-up of our usual format with two presenters presenting together. Will the upstart intern upstage the upset manager? Will couples fight and break up in the middle of their gig? Will the app crash halfway because Microsoft? Find out in June’s PPTK!***

PPTK: A brand new comedy show powered by PowerPoint (actually Google Slides).

PowerPoint Karaoke is the show where the everything is made up, the slides are nonsense and the presenters don’t know what they’re talking about.

It’s different from your meetings at work though because PPTK is fun, funny, and all about audience participation.

Presenters get slides they’ve never seen before and 5 minutes to do their thing, like:

  • Running for President by giving everyone a kitten
  • Selling an underwater phone to mermaids
  • Pitching Hollywood execs a movie called Ah Boys to Manatees

Best of all, audiences get to decide and suggest what speakers talk about. And, if you’re feeling particularly brave, you can volunteer also to be a speaker…

Come watch our madcap comedy presentation show and never look at slide decks again. PPT! PPT! PPT!
